There are several reasons your air conditioner may not be functioning properly, but typically it is one of following things:
- The refrigerant is low, or there is a leak
- The thermostat is not reading the correct temperature and is faulty
- The Unit has a drainage problem
- You have a clogged or dirty filter
- The compressor or fan is worn out
- The ductwork is clogged or constricted
- The ductwork is leaking air
Note: One of the most common problems we see is the improper operation of your air conditioner. Please be sure you have all doors and windows to the outside closed when operating your air conditioner.
There are several reasons your furnace may not be functioning properly, but typically it is one of following things:
- The thermostat is not reading the correct temperature and is faulty
- You have a clogged or dirty filter
- The pilot light or electrical ignition has failed
- The blower motor had failed
- You have a fuel supply issue
- You have loose wires
A multi-split system is a split system because it has two separate units. One is outdoor with the condenser and compressor, and one (or more) is indoor that is connected to a furnace or heat pump.
- Utilize whole house fans to pull air in and out of the house
We suggest changing your air filter on a monthly basis. More often than not, the air filter is located next to the furnace near the blower motor. There should be a removable access door where you can slide out the old filter and slide in the new filter. Remember to put the new filter in the correct direction.
